I have to admit that when it comes to finding balance in my life, I am no master! There have been times in my life where I gave all to reach a goal and as a result lost touch with other parts of myself, including other people.
Although it does take determination, focus and drive to reach our objective, it’s also important to advance our mind, body and soul, collectively. It’s important that we not put those so-called “blinders” on and lose sight of why we wanted to accomplish that goal in the first place.
All kinds of situations can leave us feeling out of balance. The happiest times in my life have come when I am well rounded and devote time to developing my mind, body and soul. These are the times that I look forward to learning, love soul searching and can’t wait for my next workout! Living a healthy, happy, balanced lifestyle is where it’s at. Eating clean nourishes our body and our soul because we feel good doing it. And exercising our bodies builds our muscles and our mind to take on all the challenges we face. But keep in mind that doing things that strengthen the mind and soul builds the foundation that gets us through those tough workouts and tempting situations.
You cannot strengthen the body without also strengthening the mind and the soul.
