Meet Alicia Harris
Meet Alicia Harris. As a student at Eastern Illinois University, she was known for her lightning speed on the racetrack, setting records in the 400- and 600-meter sprints. After graduating from college in 2005, a friend introduced her to the world of Figure, and the girl hasn’t looked back. With a sixth-place finish in last year’s Olympia and first-place win at IFBB’s Ft. Lauderdale Cup, the former track star is still turning heads.
2011 Highlight:
“My proudest accomplishment would have to be the physique I brought to the Olympia stage,” says our cover girl as she reflects on the past year of ups and downs in her career. “I love being on that stage with all those competitors around me.”
Still Ahead
And after her strong finish to the 2011 competitive year, Alicia hopes to keep the momentum going. Her first mission? To improve her placing at the Arnold in March. “I feel like this is going to be a good year for me,” she says. “I know what I need to work on and I know what I need to do. I’m excited to see the turnout.”
