My astrological sign is Sagittarius.
I grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia. I moved to Washington,
DC in 1995 to live in a more-happening metropolis.
In high school I was the captain of the indoor and outdoor
track team.
My first fitness competition was the 1998 Miss Galaxy in
St. Petersburg, Florida. I placed second and just knew then, I wanted to
make a full-time career out of fitness.
I love training my abs – always have and I always
will. I love that working out is part of my job.
I hate training stubborn thighs. I have to do many, many
reps – I’m talking hundreds of lunges – to get my legs
to lean out. I also hate the disparity between what fitness models and fashion
models get paid.
The most memorable pickup line. It’s been rare that
a guy would ever say anything to me at the gym. I don’t make myself
very approachable. Most guys don’t try their pickup lines on me, since
I wear headphones.
A perfect day would be at the spa. I’d go from “gym
rat” to “spa brat.”
I never leave home without a bottle of water.
