Do you consider yourself a fitness model or a figure competitor?
I try to achieve my personal best at both modeling and competing in figure
shows.
My astrological sign is... Aries.
I grew up in... Escondido, California (east of San Diego).
I moved to Temecula, California (best known for its vineyards and American
Indian casinos) in 1989, and I love it!
My first fitness competition was... the figure show at
the 2004 NPC Sacramento. I was completely shocked by taking first place
in my class and winning the overall.
What I love most about the fitness industry is
all
the friends I’ve made who supported me from the beginning.
My favorite exercise is
bench step-ups, as they
work wonders on my glutes and hamstrings.
My best feature is
guys compliment me on my glutes
and girls like my shoulders, but I believe my smile is my biggest asset.
The question I’m most asked is
how do you
stay in such good shape? It’s simple: I eat clean 90 percent of the
time and train six days a week in the gym.
The hardest event I’ve had to train for was
the NPC Excalibur Bodybuilding & Figure Championships (December 2004)
because I had to diet throughout the holiday season. I managed to win my
class and place second in the overall.
My worst injury was
a broken foot from a motorcycle
accident in May 2005.
My biggest pet peeve is
people who lie.
My favorite book is
The Celestine Prophecy
by James Redfield.
My favorite CD is
Fireflies by Faith Hill.
I would love to meet
Lance Armstrong because of
his determination and drive to overcome cancer. I am amazed he was able
to win the Tour de France for seven consecutive years.
For me a perfect day would be
waking up early, reading
the paper, drinking a cup of coffee, spending the day with my son, getting
in a workout and a massage at some point, and cooking dinner for my friends
and family.
Keep an eye out for me... a commercial I did for HFR (a
topical vasodilator), which is due out this year, and my website: www.fittif.com.
