Question of the Month:

Q. You’ve been on a number of photo shoots for Oxygen. What goes into taking the perfect image and how do you know you’ve got it?

Expert's Response

There are many things that go into getting the perfect image, but first and foremost is the vision. What I mean by that is this: I have to visualize how I want the images to look. Once I see it in my mind, I can start putting all the elements together. I have to bring the talent, the lighting style, the colors, etc. together before I even begin to shoot. Then, I put it all in front of the lens and I shoot until I have it. How do I know when I’ve got it? Well, I see it all happening in the lens and I just know when I’ve got it. Of course, I always shoot one more roll just to make sure!
