Future of Fitness
Oxygen’s cover girls are strong, healthy role models. Do you have what it takes? Get motivated, and you may just be the next Future of Fitness.

Macey Leigh Thompson

By Sandy Braz

Home: Indianapolis, IN
Gig: Law student
Age: 24
Height: 5’4”
Weight: 140 lb

Fave move: “I love lateral raises,” says Macey, who is a bikini model competitor and full-time student. “They help round out your shoulders and make them strong and shapely.”

Alone or with a buddy: “I prefer to train alone,” she says. “My workouts are very intense and I have an incredible focus factor.”

Her start: Macey first hit the weights as a teenager. She was inspired by former Oxygen models, such as Amy Fadhli, and started using the weights at the local gym where she taught swimming lessons.

What’s your advice for a gym first-timer?
“Release any negative thoughts you have about yourself,” she says. “You must love yourself as you are, while you are striving to become what you love.”
