“What sacrifices have you made to
compete in fitness?”

“I have had my share of sacrifices to make throughout my 10 years of competing in fitness and figure. Though I would have to say that the biggest sacrifice was the way I had to eat. It changes everything, even the way I interact with friends and at social get-togethers, especially if I have a competition lined up. As a result, I say no to a lot of outings because I need to work out, eat right, get enough sleep, and the list goes on. In this business, if you want to be pro, you have to act like one.”

“One of the sacrifices I’ve had to make is giving up a career in photography. When I received my degree in commercial photography was the same time I found myself wanting to compete in fitness events. I decided that I could always pursue photography in the future, but that competing was something I had to do first.”
