What keeps you motivated?
My clients keep me motivated. The people who reach out to me for help keep me motivated. When I sense the passion to change in others, it pushes me to help them overcome their obstacle so they can move forward. When my clients see results, and I see how those results change their lives, it lights me up and motivates me to find new ways to provide for them.
Why do you love to sweat?
It's absolutely empowering! It takes me into that competitive state as an athlete. Am I going to dig deep and find a way to win today? When I workout, I get to challenge myself regularly. I enjoy the fruits of my labor by feeling more energized and confident as I step out. Also, as I travel more and jump into fun adventures like skydiving and difficult hikes, I see how my time training has paid off. By committing to sweat a little each day, I get to enjoy life on a daily basis and all the adventures along the way!
What words do you live by?
“It’s not about perfection, it’s about progression.”
What makes you a kick-a$$ Oxygen Ambassador?
I love what I do as a personal trainer! From the long-term relationships I’ve built with my clients, I’ve learned it's more than just providing a great workout. It’s about listening to what they need, and serving them with that — plus, what they didn’t know they needed. I’ve learned about the importance of the 23 hours of the day outside of the workout. Because of this, I’ve been able to help my clients transform not only physically but mentally. This has shifted how I train my clients. I’ve learned to listen to the needs of my community, and I serve them from that place. It’s easy to provide a great training program, but when you don’t take into consideration the outside factors, like what we're experiencing now with COVID-19, it’s hard to make an impact and help with transformation.
Understanding all around health and wellness is what makes me a kick-a$$ Oxygen Ambassador. I understand that it’s about “more than fitness.” I have the education and experience to program safe and effectively, while creating fun and challenging training experiences for the Oxygen community that leave them feeling empowered, stronger, and ready to take on the world!
