Best move: “I like a move my former trainer called ‘transformers,'” Kristy says. “You do it with hand weights, and it involves bent-over rows, push-ups, squats and walking lunges. I like it because it is a full-body movement, and it also elevates my heart rate.”
Her workout: Kristy says that she doesn’t follow an exact plan when it comes to her workouts, but rather trains the body parts she feels need some attention. “I evaluate my body daily and base my workout on that as well as what I did the day before.”
Staying balanced: “Sometimes it is difficult to manage working full time and being a good mom and wife,” Kristy says, although she does try to make harmony between all the important facets of her life. “I am at the gym at 5 a.m. most mornings so that I don’t take time away from my family.”
Do you prefer to workout alone or with a buddy? “Unless I can work with my favorite trainer, I prefer to train alone. I put on my iPod and drown out all the noise and commotion around me. I am in the zone, ready to work.”
