Team Captain
Captain of her high school swim and lacrosse teams, Stacey got her first taste of fitness as a young girl, following her mother’s workout videos. “My mom is my role model. She’s a cancer survivor.”
Weights and Wellness
A yoga enthusiast, Stacey also took a shine to kettlebell training and weightlifting. “I love how kettlebells compliment my yoga practice,” she says. “Being able to bang out pull-ups and deadlifts with the boys feels great too.”
Best Move
This champion bikini and figure competitor loves the way the single-leg glute bridge has transformed her lower half. She even ups the intensity by supporting her back with a bench. “I went from having no glutes to having great ones,” she says. “And I earned them!”
Food Fight
Already experimenting with vegetarianism when she was diagnosed with allergies to wheat, eggs, milk, corn and soy, Stacey decided to face the challenge head on by competing in her first figure competition. “Because of my dietary restrictions, it is difficult for me to put on muscle and maintain my energy levels.” By researching and starting her own blog to exchange recipes and advice with others, she learned to maintain a fit lifestyle despite her diet obstacles, snagging her pro card her second time on stage.
