Hey, everyone! I want to touch base on one of the most important factors to having a fit, beautiful and healthy physique: hydration. We all know proper water intake is essential for the following: performance, brain function, energy levels, healthy skin, digestion, transportation of nutrients, weight loss and much more.

Let’s be honest, though. It’s hard to remember to drink eight glasses a day, right? Especially if you’re like me and love to drink caffeinated beverages, you’ll need to drink even more than average to keep up proper levels of body fluid. So drink up!

I’ve compiled a list of tricks that I use that can help you drink the amount of water your body needs, every day!

Make It Part of Your Morning Routine

Morning Water

Get it out of the way! Chug a ¼ gallon of water every morning upon waking.

Prepare the Night Before

Water Gallon

Fill a gallon of water each night so you have it ready to drink the next day.

Keep Water in Your Car

Water in Car

Keep a gallon of filtered water in the trunk of your car at all times.

Squeeze in Lemon Juice

Lemon water

Add pure lemon juice — and stevia, if you choose — to your water for a sugar-free lemonade. This is also great for cleansing the liver.

Counteract Caffeine

Coffee and Water

For every caffeinated beverage you take in, drink 8 ounces of water immediately afterward.

Drop in Extra Flavor

Water

Add stevia extract drops, Minute Maid drops or Dasani drops for a tasty boost.

Infuse With Fruit

Fruit Water

Squeeze a small bit of fruit or herbs into your water. Lemon, cucumber, strawberry, orange, kiwi or mint are all good options. Your drink will taste super refreshing!

Scoop in Decaffeinated Aminos

Water at the Gym

Add a scoop of decaffeinated aminos, beneficial to muscle recovery and protein synthesis.
