2010 NPC Team Universe Figure Championships

The Figure Open division isn’t showing any signs of slowing down or being cannibalized by the growing Bikini Division. Indeed, the Team U lineups for the Open Figure division were as large as ever, no doubt attracted by the lure of a bunch of brand-new IFBB pro cards up for the taking. When the dust settled, Jackie Hoppe’s (Class C) winning combination of femininity, symmetry and attractive leanness lifted her over the five other class winners – Tiana Gonzalez (Class A), Teresita Morales (Class B), Charmayne Jackson (Class D), Mona Muresan (Class E) and Michelle Battista (Class F) – for the overall title.

NPC Team Universe Bikini Championships

The youngest Team U Bikini competitor, Class B and Overall winner Nicole Nagrani – she’s just 18 years old – bested a large field, including quality class winners Natalie Abrhiem (Class A), Vanessa Campbell (Class C), Juliana Daniell (Class D), Juliette Primak (Class E) and Jenny Drennan (Class F). The formidable Nagrani will now move to the Bikini Pro division, where she will do her best to scorch the IFBB stage in the same way she has torn through the NPC Bikini ranks. Interestingly, Nagrani’s mother, NPC Figure competitor Kristen Nagrani, not only came away from the show glowing over her daughter’s success, but can also place her own pro card and trophy on the mantel next to Nicole’s – she placed second in the Open Figure Class F.
