Ainsley McSorley, our 28-year-old cover girl from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, is living her dream. She just started a competition coaching business through her own fitness studio, Revive Fitness, combining her expertise in nutrition and personal training, landed the cover of our Glutes special issue, and bought her first home! We caught up with the Canadian beauty to find out what keeps her motivated.
Cover Girl Q&A
Q: Why did you find landing the cover of our Glutes special so ironic?
A: (laughing) Well, from the moment I started in the sport of fitness, I’ve been told by every trainer that my glutes are my weakest body part! That’s why I’m so proud to get this cover – I’ve really had to work hard for it!
Q: Who would be your three favorite dinner party guests?
A: I would love to have another meal with the late Bob Kennedy. He was so inspirational and hilarious when I got the chance to spend some time with him and Tosca last year. My other two guests would be my boyfriend, Riley, who is my true supporter in everything I do, and dog behavior specialist Cesar Millan, a.k.a. the “Dog Whisperer.”
Q: Who has influenced you in your fitness journey?
A: My parents have had such a positive impact on me – my mother had two knee surgeries a few years ago and she’s back to working out three times a week at my fitness studio. My dad has always played sports, so I grew up with great role models. Family is very important to me.
