Home: Calgary, AB, Canada Gig: Registered nurse Age: 43 Height: 5’5″ Weight: 138 lb

Fit commitment: As a registered nurse who frequently travels for work, Linda doesn’t allow her workout and nutrition regimen to fall by the wayside. “I ensure I stay at hotels with good cardio equipment, and I always find a gym,” she says. “I pack my meals or purchase groceries once I arrive as opposed to eating out, and have taken my rice cooker to prepare chicken breasts in my hotel room if I am gone for the week.”

Quick and efficient: Linda’s best workout tip is to give each workout 100 percent of your effort. “Giving 100 percent over 30 minutes can beat out giving less over one hour, and over time you will be able to give more for longer periods.”

Competitive edge: To start her fitness journey, Linda took part in an eight-week fitness challenge at her gym. “I set a goal of winning a trip for two to Mexico – one of three prizes – but after seeing my results, I chose 49 personal training sessions instead!”

Favorite feature: Her back. “Little did I know I had the back I did till I had photos taken. I was shocked.”
