Start your warm-up off on the right foot, then keep your blood flowing throughout your entire workout.

Because I’m a huge proponent of warm-ups, I use music as a way to get pumped up for my actual work. So I like to make sure that my warm-ups have the music that’s going to get me really excited to work out — especially when I’m not feeling super motivated or ready to get into it. That’s why I always include at least one of my favorite songs in the warm-up so that I have extra incentive to get moving.
As far as genres, I gravitate toward hip hop, rap and pop — something I can almost dance to with a great beat. I follow a bunch of DJs on SoundCloud, and they have such great mixes. They do a great job of switching it up right at the point before you don’t want to hear that beat anymore. And they keep the energy up and the vibe high so I can stay in my zone.
When it’s time for my cool-down, I’ll choose something a bit slower — perhaps from John Legend or Leon Bridges — so I can get my heart rate down while stretching my muscle groups. I hope you enjoy this playlist as much as I do!
